Two alumni of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, have unveiled ‘glycoclear’ technology based skincare solutions for women.

Their start-up, ‘Sanfe’, aims to empower women through innovative skincare solutions and address concerns such as tanned skin, dark underarms and joint areas, strawberry skin, body acne, bumps and dark spots, body odour, and rough and bumpy texture, associated with keratosis pilaris.

Sanfe co-founder Archit Agarwal highlighted the lack of body care products in the market that truly tackle common concerns such as tanning, pigmentation and odour.

He said glycoclear technology transforms ordinary products into effective solutions by incorporating a unique blend of water-based acids like glycolic and lactic acid, which work on the surface layer of the skin to remove dead cells, and oil-based acids that penetrate deep to unclog pores.

Ruchi Singh, the developer behind the technology, highlighted that unlike most products that disrupt the body’s pH balance and cause irritation, glycoclear ensures a more neutral pH, resulting in smooth, clear, and healthy skin.

Sanfe co-founders Archit and Harry Sehrawat said the inspiration behind the start-up stemmed from instances when their female friends expressed discomfort due to various skin-related issues.

Agarwal said Sanfe aims at blending science with beauty care products so that women can grow to be more confident with healthier skin.
