Following rain in the region, the Delhiites woke up to shallow fog today, leading to a dip in mercury.

The maximum and minimum temperature was recorded at 18.5°C and 7° C, respectively. The maximum temperature was four degrees below the season’s normal and the minimum temperature was a degree below the normal.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in the coming days. The IMD said on Saturday, there is a possibility of light rain or drizzle with a cloudy sky and on Sunday, there are chances of thundershowers along with gusty winds at 30-40 kmph.

According to the seven-day weather forecast by the IMD, the maximum temperature is likely to range from 18°C to 21°C, while the minimum temperature may remain between 7°C and 10°C.

The early warning system forecasted that the predominant surface wind is likely to be coming from South and Southwest directions in Delhi with wind speed 08-12 kmph with generally cloudy sky, moderate to dense fog in the morning and very light rain or drizzle towards evening or night on February 3.
