In Brief: MCD celebrates Ayurveda Day

New Delhi: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) organised a special programme at Kedarnath Sahni Auditorium on the Ayurveda Day and Dhanvantari Jayanti, honouring the contributions of ayurveda to healthcare. Floral tributes were paid to the portrait of Dhanvantari, recognised as the father of Ayurveda. Mayor Shelly Oberoi, who was the chief guest, said, “Ayurveda is not just a medical system; it is a way of life that can completely eradicate diseases.”

377 teams to check firecracker ban

New Delhi: In a high-level meeting held at the Delhi Secretariat, Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Tuesday reviewed the enforcement of the firecracker ban across the city. To address pollution concerns associated with Diwali celebrations, the government has deployed 377 teams for strict monitoring.
