In collaboration with the Embassy of the Netherlands, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) organised a music concert titled ‘Song of Water’ by Indo-Dutch artistes at Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
The event showcased stellar performances by eminent artistes Shubhendra Rao and Saskia Rao, accompanied by Pranshu Chaturlal and Heiko Dijker.
NDMC Chairman said the concert was a highlight of the Spring celebrations and expressed optimism for continued collaboration between India and the Netherlands in cultural and horticultural endeavours.
Ambassador of the Netherlands, Marisa Gerards, expressed gratitude over the organisation of the Indo-Dutch Music Concert as part of the Tulip Festival, praising the participation of people from across Delhi and adjoining cities.
She lauded the beauty of the Tulip Festival and expressed optimism for future collaborations to enhance the relationship between the two nations.
Diplomatic dignitaries from various embassies, including Norway and Chile, graced the occasion, joining thousands of flower enthusiasts in enjoying the mesmerizing music concert amidst the blooming tulips.
The theme, ‘Song of Water,’ showcased the unique composition of the world-renowned Indo-Dutch couple, Shubhendra Rao and Saskia Rao-de Haas, symbolising the harmonious blend of Dutch and Indian cultures.
The Indo-Dutch Music Concert forms part of NDMC’s series of events celebrating the spring season, including the Tulip Festival, Music in the Park, Flower Festival, Rose Festival, and Food Festival. The next music concert in the series is scheduled for March 9 at Nehru Park.
