Calling it the government’s “first real test,” Bidhuri said it passed with “100% marks” by making timely arrangements to deal with any emergency situation.

The BJP leader said the Rekha Gupta-led administration worked in close coordination with key departments, including Delhi Police, Fire Services and the National Disaster Management Authority.

He said a comprehensive action plan was drawn up involving paramilitary forces, and the Chief Minister personally held review meetings to ensure all systems were in place — from hospital preparedness to active monitoring of food supplies.

“No attempt was allowed to create an artificial shortage of essential commodities,” he said, adding that all departments remained on high alert to serve the public.

Taking a dig at the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, Bidhuri said, “Whether it was Covid-19, dengue, pollution or transport crisis, the AAP government failed in every test. It often seemed like Delhi had no government at all.”

He said the BJP government’s efficient handling of the present situation has restored confidence among the public, marking a significant shift from past administrative lapses.
