SRISIIM under scanner after allegations of sexual harrasment against director

The Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management (SRISIIM) in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, has come under lens following the allegations of sexual harassment against its director Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati.SRISIIM is an institution of Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthanam of Sri Sharada Peetham, Sringeri, and is said to be 1,200 years old. According to the Institute's website, it was established by Saint Philosopher Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya in 788 AD, with 295 centers worldwide.The institute teaches Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programmes, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), with some seats reserved under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) scholarship scheme. The Governing Council, chaired by educationist Dr Krishna Venkatesh, oversees curriculum design, faculty appointments.On its LinkedIn page, the institute describes itself as “a unique centre for research and study on Leadership and Management with focus on Indian Knowledge System (IKS), Ancient Indian Scriptures, Indian Spiritual Wisdom, and the Bhagavad Gita through Indian Ethos and Universal Human Values, Multi-religious faith, and Social Harmony.”

The institute is also recognised by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) as a "National Centre of Excellence."
