Intellectual Property India celebrates Women’s Day, achievers felicitated
The Intellectual Property India marked International Women’s Day with enthusiasm, celebrating the achievements and contributions of women through a vibrant cultural programme. The event featured a mix of performances, discussions and creative activities, highlighting the significance of women’s empowerment in various fields.
The programme commenced with the felicitation of the chief guest, Simran Kaur, from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), and the guests of honour, Rajesh Kumar from IP University, Swati Roy Prasad and Anirudh Kumar Sudhanshu from Delhi University. NR Meena, senior joint controller of patents and designs and head of the Delhi Patent Office, welcomed the dignitaries and set the tone for the celebrations.
A series of cultural activities, including singing, dancing, poster making and slogan writing, were performed by officials from the Patent, Trademark and Copyright Office. The highlight of the event was two plays, Khel Khel Me and Amma, performed by students from Motilal Nehru College and Kalindi College. The performances received a standing ovation from the audience, earning praise for their impactful storytelling.
Kavita Taunk, controller of patents and designs, expressed gratitude to CGPDTM Unnat P Pandit for his encouragement and support, as well as to NR Meena for his guidance. She also acknowledged the efforts of the organising committee and participants for making the event a success.
