Welcoming the delegation, Gupta said the Assembly stands as a symbol of “Virasat Bhi, Vikaas Bhi,” and that the century-old building continues to guide the future of governance. Guests were presented with traditional patkas and a souvenir, along with the Assembly’s coffee-table book Shatabdi-Yatra, Veer Vithalbhai Patel, dedicated to India’s first elected Speaker of the Central Legislative Assembly. Delegates included MPs and officials from France, Belgium, Nepal, Mongolia, Serbia, Sri Lanka and the UK. Gupta briefed the group on the building’s evolution from the seat of the pre-Independence Central Legislative Assembly to its current role as Delhi’s law-making institution. He highlighted key reforms such as the National e-Vidhan Application, which is enabling a shift to a fully digital House.
