Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) inaugurated a state-of-the-art evaluation hall at the office of the Controller of Examinations to fast-track the declaration of exam and entrance results. The development comes as JMI leads nationally with over 80 per cent of its entrance results already announced, setting a benchmark for other institutions.

“I am grateful to the CoE, Deputy CoE, and the highly efficient administrative and office staff whose tireless work over the past three months made this possible,” said Mazhar Asif, lauding the swift progress. “We aim to infuse an environment of positivity, integrity and happiness in the JMI ecosystem.”

Asif further highlighted his administrative philosophy shaped during his role as a member of the NEP drafting committee. “Timely disbursement of salaries and promotions when due are central to keeping faculty and staff motivated. That is the philosophy guiding our administration, and the results are for all to see,” he said.

Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi emphasised collective responsibility in driving the university forward. “Our motto should be ‘One Jamia, One Family’. This vision will be realised only when our teaching and non-teaching staff join hands to deliver the very best,” he said.

Rizvi also underscored the transparency of the admissions process this year. “It is remarkable that JMI conducted a multi-city entrance exam process completely in-house, using its own facilities and staff. This is not only a huge achievement but also unprecedented in Indian higher education,” he added.

Pawan Kumar Sharma, Controller of Examinations, praised the leadership of the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar under which the university is “witnessing all-round growth”. “The timely evaluation of answer sheets and submission of marks by our faculty members made early result declaration possible,” he said.

The admission process for the session 2025-26 is already in an advanced stage and far ahead of other universities in the country.
