As Delhi gears up for elections, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has warned slum residents of eviction by the BJP if voted to power.

He accused the BJP of offering Rs 3,000 to slum-dwellers in exchange for getting their fingers inked — without actually voting — calling it a “dangerous conspiracy” that could land them in legal trouble.

Kejriwal cautioned that anyone caught with ink on their finger without casting vote could face criminal charges. “If you get ink applied on your finger under their influence, you could be arrested. If you let them apply ink without actually voting, you will be committing electoral fraud,” he warned.

The former Delhi Chief Minister claimed that BJP leaders were misleading voters by telling them taht they could vote from home. “Their party members are going door to door, telling people to take Rs 3,000 and that the Election Commission will come to their homes to cast their votes. When I heard this, I was shocked. This is a huge conspiracy against you,” Kejriwal said.

He further warned that on election night, surveillance teams and media would be monitoring slum areas, and anyone caught accepting money could face years of legal trouble. “If you are caught, the case will drag on for years, and you will end up spending lakhs of rupees on legal matters,” he cautioned.

Kejriwal also accused the BJP of planning to demolish slums if it came to power. “If, by mistake, the BJP forms the government, your homes will be demolished within six months. But if you strengthen my hands and the AAP wins, I promise no one will dare touch your slum,” he added.

Citing Mumbai’s Dharavi redevelopment, he claimed that the BJP would hand over slum land to private corporations. “They handed over Dharavi’s land to their billionaire friend. If their government comes to power, they will do the same in Delhi,” he warned.

Kejriwal urged voters to be cautious.
