Kejriwal launches Sanjeevani Yojana registration in Sisodia’s constituency
AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched the registration process for the Sanjeevani Yojana in Jangpura on Monday. Accompanied by senior AAP leader and Jangpura candidate Manish Sisodia, as well as Chief Minister Atishi, Kejriwal personally engaged with senior citizens in the area, helping them register for the programme.
Kejriwal not only informed residents about the benefits of the scheme but also assisted them in filling out registration forms and distributed ‘Kejriwal Kavach Cards’ to the first set of participants. The card will ensure that senior citizens are covered for medical expenses under the Sanjeevani Yojana if AAP returns to power after the upcoming elections.
“The registration process for the Sanjeevani Yojana has begun in Jangpura today, and we have registered some senior citizens. Under this scheme, senior citizens above 60 will have their medical expenses covered by the Delhi government, whether they get treatment in government or private hospitals,” said Arvind Kejriwal in a statement to the media.
“All treatments in private hospitals will now be fully covered by the Delhi government,” he added. He also highlighted the overwhelming response to the scheme, mentioning that “approximately 2.5 lakh women had already registered for the Mahila Samman Yojana in just a few hours after its launch.”
