The Delhi Assembly’s Committee of Privileges on Thursday noted the absence of Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Ram Niwas Goel and Rakhi Birla from its scheduled sitting and has now fixed November 20 as the next date for their appearance.
Committee Chairperson Pradyumn Singh Rajput informed that the four individuals were expected to appear before the panel to present their version in connection with the inquiry into the authenticity of the ‘Faansi Ghar’ inaugurated in the Delhi Legislative Assembly premises on August 9, 2022.
“The Committee has now given them another opportunity to place their version on record and has fixed November 20 at 2.30 pm as the next date for their appearance,” Rajput said. During Thursday’s meeting, the Committee continued examining documents and background records as part of its ongoing probe into the circumstances surrounding the ‘Faansi Ghar’ inauguration.
Members present at the sitting included Abhay Kumar Verma, Ajay Kumar Mahawar, Neeraj Basoya, Surya Prakash Khatri and Satish Upadhyay, enabling the Committee to proceed with its deliberations.
Chairperson Rajput emphasised that the upcoming sitting will be crucial for advancing the inquiry.
