Kerala Tourism unveils experiential products to attract winter travellers

Kerala Tourism has introduced a range of experiential products designed to appeal both to the domestic and the international tourists as the festive and winter travel season begins, promising visitors a unique experience that blends the state’s natural beauty, vibrant culture and warm hospitality.

Tourism Minister PA Mohamed Riyas, in a message at the ‘Network Kerala’ B2B tourism meet held at Crowne Plaza, Okhla, said the state had emerged as a model for sustainable and inclusive tourism. “Kerala Tourism has made a paradigm shift by positioning itself as an inclusive, experiential and regenerative destination offering diverse choices across the state,” he said.

At the event, Tourist Information Officer S Sreekumar showcased Kerala’s new tourism initiatives and products, including caravan and heli-tourism, with plans to introduce seaplane tourism soon. “We have launched heli-tourism and are expanding caravan tourism with new parks across Kerala,” he told The Tribune.

The meet brought together tourism sellers from Kerala and buyers from Delhi, and concluded with a cultural programme highlighting Kerala’s performing arts. The event coincides with the upcoming sixth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, beginning December 12, one of the world’s leading contemporary art festivals that will run till March 31, 2026.

The state’s tourism department also shared that they recently hosted India’s first travel literary festival in Varkala, and had introduced India’s first woman-friendly tourism policy to promote solo and all-woman travel experiences led by women entrepreneurs.
