New Delhi, February 4
Children from 75 parliamentary constituencies across India gathered in New Delhi to present a “Children’s Manifesto”, ahead of the General Elections.
It was presented during the National Inclusive Children’s Parliament (NICP), organised by PRATYeK, an NGO dedicated to promoting children’s rights.
The week-long programme, held from January 24 to 31, engaged over 100 child leaders, facilitators, and directors of child rights organisations.
The event aimed at empowering children by advocating their rights and facilitating their participation in decision-making processes. Child parliamentarians interacted with political leaders and sought inclusion of their recommendations in party manifestos.
