L-G converts 112 temporary hospital posts into permanent positions
New Delhi, July 9
Lieutenant-Governor (L-G) VK Saxena on Tuesday approved the conversion of 112 temporary medical and non-medical posts of various categories into permanent positions at Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital in Pitampura.
These 112 temporary posts, which include specialists, senior resident doctors, junior resident doctors, staff nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians, lab assistants, statistical assistants and LDCs, will be converted into permanent positions. This change aims to improve services at the hospital, according to Raj Niwas officials.
Saxena has also directed that these posts be filled on a permanent basis through recruitment by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) or the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) in a time-bound manner, as per the rules.
“After taking charge in May 2022, Saxena issued strict directions to all departments of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi to resolve pending issues concerning government employees’ welfare,” an official said.
“Saxena has also emphasised the permanent filling of vacant posts in GNCTD departments through exams conducted by the DSSSB in a time-bound manner,” the official added.
