L-G grants approval for restructuring of cadre posts in forensic lab
New Delhi, January 16
Delhi Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena has approved the restructuring of Scientific, Ministerial, Information Technology and Accounts Cadre posts in Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Delhi.
The restructuring of the FSL Delhi cadre will be on a par with the cadre structure of Directorate of Forensic Science Services (DFSS), Ministry of Home Affairs. The exercise has resulted in the creation of 420 additional posts and abolition or surrender of 144 posts of various categories, officials said.
A Raj Niwas official said, “On the directions of Saxena, a separate file is being submitted to the Administrative Reforms and IT Department in respect to 80 posts of Junior Scientific Officer and 10 posts of Data Entry Operators.”
“A total of 196 scientific posts have been created. For Crime Scene Management Division, 142 posts have been created. In the Administrative and Accounts category, 43 posts would be available and 38 posts of multi-tasking staff and other miscellaneous staff has been created. A post of System Analyst has been created in IT department,” another official said.
