Lawyer dies as car falls into ditch

A lawyer was killed when the car he was driving overturned and fell into a ditch on the Sohna-Tauru road in the wee hours of Tuesday. The incident took place when he was returning home after attending a marriage ceremony in Tauru.

The deceased is identified as Pankaj Kumar, a native of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh.

He reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing the car to plunge into a 70-m-deep ditch. Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and, with the help of locals, retrieved the body. The lawyer’s family was notified, and the police handed over the body to the family after conducting a postmortem.

Senior Medical Officer Dr Sudhir Kumar of the civil hospital, Sohna, said the advocate died due to head injury.
