Lawyer shot at on way to court
Admitted to hospital; hunt on for accused
A lawyer was shot at while he was heading to a court in the Karawal Nagar area of Northeast Delhi on Thursday morning, the police said.
The victim, Shrikant (30) sustained injury and is undergoing treatment at GTB Hospital, they said.
According to the police, a PCR call was received at the Karawal Nagar police station around 8:30 am regarding a firing incident. He was taken to GTB Hospital, where his condition remains stable. A crime and forensic team visited the crime spot and collected evidences.
A case has been registered at the Karawal Nagar police station. Teams have been deployed to identify and arrest the accused involved in the crime, an official said.
The police said the incident seems to be a result of personal enmity.
