Leader of Opposition and former Mayor of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Raja Iqbal Singh, strongly criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for failing to disburse February salaries to Group A and B employees of the civic body, calling it a glaring example of administrative failure.

Singh accused the AAP leadership of making grand promises during the MC elections, but failing to deliver on even the most basic responsibilities.

“AAP leaders misled people with false assurances to seize power. Now, municipal employees are struggling to receive their rightful salaries,” he said.

Highlighting the prolonged delay, Singh said: “Today is March 26, and February salaries are still pending. In just six days, two months’ worth of salaries will be overdue. This is a clear failure of governance. Under the AAP’s rule, every resident of Delhi is suffering,” he remarked.

Demanding immediate action, Singh urged the Delhi Mayor to release the pending salaries without further delay. “If the February salaries are not issued soon, the BJP will stage a protest against the municipal administration,” he warned.
