Major reshuffle in Delhi Police, 25 IPS officers shifted
New Delhi, January 12
Delhi Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena today transferred at least 25 IPS officers in a major reshuffle of the Delhi Police.
According to the order issued by the L-G’s office, Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order zone I) Dependra Pathak has been transferred to the Security Special CP (Crime), Ravindra Singh Yadav will now be heading the (Law and Order) Zone I.
Special CP HGS Dhaliwal has been shifted to Traffic Zone II and Special CP SS Yadav has been transferred to EOW (Economic Offences Wing).
Special CP Madhup Tiwari has been transferred to Law and Order Zone II, Special CP Sagarpreet Hooda has been shifted to PCR (communications) and also been given an additional charge of Perception Management and Media Cell Division.
Special CP Shalini Singh has been transferred to the Crime unit and Special CP RP Upadhayay to the Special Cell. Also, Special CP Virender Singh has been transferred to the Licensing unit, while Special CP K Jagadesan given the charge of Traffic Zone I.
Special CP Chhaya Sharma, who is currently the Training Division, will now also be the additional charge of SPUWAC (Special Police Unit For Women & Children) and SPUNER (Special Police Unit for North-Eastern Region).
Saxena also transferred 16 deputy commissioners of police-rank officers. DCP Usha Rangnani to Airport unit, Ingit Pratap Singh to Vigilance unit, Pranav Tayal to Special Branch with additional charge of Tech and PI unit.
Sanjay Kumar Sain to Crime Branch, Manoj C to Special Cell, Guguloth Amrutha to EOW, Deotosh Kumar Surendra to Headquarter II with additional charge of Headquarter III.
M Harsha Vardhan has been transferred to Central district, Devesh Kumar Malha will now be New Delhi DCP, Rohit Meena to Southwest district and Rakesh Paweriya to Crime.
Apoorva Gupta has been transferred to East district, Surendra Chaudhary to Shahdara district, Ankit Kumar Singh to Dwarka district. Also, two DANIPS officers Kamalpal Singh and Patel Aalap Mansukh will now be incharge of Railways and Security units respectively.
