The Gurugram police have arrested a man for performing dangerous stunts with firecrackers on the roof of a car on Dwarka Expressway on the Diwali night. The cops have also impounded the Scorpio used in the stunt.
According to the police, a video was circulating on social media, in which three black Scorpio cars are seen being driven recklessly on the Dwarka Expressway on October 23. Two men were seen bursting crackers while standing on the roof of a Scorpio car and another man was seen bursting crackers by putting his hand out from the driver’s seat of a car. Acting on the video, an FIR was registered at Bajghera police station.
While investigating, the police arrested one accused on Wednesday. The accused has been identified as Kapil Rana (32), a resident of Bajghera village in Gurugram. He is the owner of the car impounded.
“The accused was let off on bail after he joined the investigation. The other accused will be arrested soon,” a police spokesperson said.
