A suspect, accused of kidnapping two youths after befriending them through the Grindr app tried to escape police custody on Tuesday while he was being taken to the Civil Hospital for a medical examination. The act was captured on a CCTV camera and police foiled the attempt. A man was kidnapped after befriending another man on the app. The man asked for a ransom from the victim’s family but the police rescued him and arrested four suspects. The suspects, identified as Ajay; Deepesh; Ashish, alias Golu; and Anil, were being taken for medical examination when Ashish tried to escape by jumping over a wall.
