Man dies of suspected electrocution in Kirari

The deceased, identified as Harendra, hailed from Mainpuri, UP.
The incident came to light after officials at SGM Hospital, Mangolpuri, informed the Prem Nagar police station about the arrival of an unidentified male on Wednesday night who was brought in dead by a local.
According to the police, Harendra was electrocuted while fetching water from a tap located near some exposed electrical wiring on the premises. Colleagues and bystanders rushed him to SGM Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. A crime team from Rohini inspected the spot and sealed the area. Preliminary findings, supported by the statement of Harendra’s wife, the GD entry and the MLC report, indicated that the electrocution occurred due to unsafe electrical conditions at the deceased’s workplace. Based on the evidence collected so far, an offence under Section 106 (1) of the BNS was registered.
