Man impersonates Air Force officer to get tooth treatment
New Delhi, February 23
In order to receive treatment at the Air Force Dental Hospital here, a 39-year-old man, identified as Vinayak Chaddha, reportedly forged the documents of an Air Force Wing Commander. He was apprehended by security personnel at the Palam Air Force station after suspicions arose regarding the authenticity of his documents.
Chaddha, a resident of Malakganj, South West Delhi, gained access to the Air Force station using the forged documents. Security personnel within the high-security zone detained him on February 21.
Despite breaching one security perimeter, Chaddha was apprehended by Air Force personnel upon reaching a second layer of security. The Air Force authorities notified the Delhi Police after detaining the intruder.
Rohit Meena, DCP for South West district, said, “Chadda was found in possession of five fake identification documents. During questioning, he claimed that he wanted to get treatment at the Air Force Dental Hospital, hence he forged the documents.”
