Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh on Wednesday handed over 100 ceiling fans to Hindu Rao Hospital of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). The fans were donated by the Badi Panchayat Vaishya Beese Aggarwal (Regd.) Sanstha as part of their philanthropic initiative to support public healthcare.
The donation aims to ease patient suffering, especially during the summer months and improve overall comfort levels within the hospital. The event was attended by key representatives from the organisation, including Sanstha pradhan Sanjay Singhal, general secretary Suman Kumar Gupta and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Singh reiterated his commitment to public service, stating, “Seva Paramo Dharmah—public welfare is the highest form of service. Even a small effort can bring significant relief to someone in need.” He emphasised that such gestures reflect the civic body’s larger goal of ensuring dignity, convenience and comfort for every citizen.
