Minister inaugurates Youth Parliament
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the National Round of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament Festival 2025 on Wednesday. The event, brought together 105 state-level winners.
Mandaviya said, “This year’s Youth Parliament is aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat. Over 75,000 young individuals submitted video presentations to be part of this initiative and after a thorough selection process, you are here today, at the very place where India’s leaders have shaped our Constitution.”
Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Khadse, praised the initiative, stating, “The dialogues led by young minds at the Youth Parliament will lay the foundation for India’s future.”
The first day of the event featured two Question Hour sessions, where participants debated national policy problems. In the first session, youth MPs engaged in discussions on One Nation, One Election (ONOE), analysing its impact on governance, administrative feasibility, political stability, and legal challenges. The session was evaluated by a jury that included Minister of State in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India Raksha Khadse and MP Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad.
The second session focused on Viksit Bharat, with debates on topics such as youth empowerment, education, skill development and sustainability.
