In an effort to promote premium bus services in the Capital, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot took a ride on the Uber Shuttle service on Wednesday.
The Uber Shuttle service is part of the Delhi Motor Vehicles Licensing of Aggregator (Premium Buses) Scheme, 2023. The Transport Minister was accompanied by Nikolaas Van de Loock, General Manager for Uber Shuttle in India.
The Delhi premium bus scheme was designed not only to make public transport more comfortable and attractive, but also to reduce air pollution by encouraging a shift from private vehicles to eco-friendly public transport options, Gahlot said after the ride.
