The police have arrested a 24-year-old dance teacher, along with his brother and an accomplice, for allegedly extorting Rs 30 lakh from a minor girl student in the Sohna area by blackmailing her with obscene photographs. A car and valuables worth several lakh rupees were recovered from their possession.
According to the police, the accused extorted the money by threatening to make the explicit images of the 14-year-old victim viral on social media. All three were produced in a city court on Monday and remanded to judicial custody.
According to the police, the girl, passionate about dancing, regularly attended a training centre in her locality. During this period, the dance teacher allegedly lured her, administered intoxicants, and took obscene photographs while she was unconscious.
The teacher later roped in his brother and another associate. Together, they demanded money from the girl. Out of fear and under pressure, the victim stole from her home and handed over approximately Rs 30 lakh to the trio over time. After getting fed up with the accused, the student narrated her ordeal to her relatives, after which a complaint was registered.
Following the complaint, an FIR was registered.
