National Commission for Minorities (NCM) Chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura and West Delhi MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat met Sikh taxi drivers from Delhi and other states on Tuesday to discuss their challenges and explore measures for their welfare.

The meeting, held at 95 Lodhi Estate in New Delhi, aimed to understand the issues faced by Sikh taxi drivers and provide support.

Taking to social media platform X, Lalpura shared details about the interaction. “Meeting with Taxi Drivers from Delhi and other states from the Sikh Minority community at 95 Lodhi Estate, New Delhi. Chairman NCM and Kamaljeet Sehrawat, MP Delhi, heard the problems of taxi drivers and assured them of resolving the issues at the earliest,” he wrote.

The dialogue highlighted the challenges faced by the drivers, including economic pressures and operational difficulties, with the NCM pledging to facilitate resolutions in coordination with relevant authorities.
