Bidhuri raised this issue during a Parliamentary Committee meeting held at Parliament Annexe earlier today and followed it up by personally handing over the memorandum to Prof Singh. He emphasised the pressing need for a college in the area, highlighting that no college has been opened in Delhi for the past 30 years.

Recalling the period from 1993 to 1998 when the BJP government in Delhi under Madanlal Khurana and Sahib Singh Verma established 12 colleges, Bidhuri lamented the subsequent neglect by successive governments.

He pointed out that the gram sabha of Fatehpur Beri Bhati had provided 40 bighas of land free of cost for the college, yet the project got delayed. The Vice Chancellor assured the MP that he would consider the proposal and work towards a timely resolution. Bidhuri has also raised the demand in Parliament.
