MP Praveen Khandelwal conducts inspection
On Thursday, MP Praveen Khandelwal conducted a thorough inspection of Chandni Chowk, Bhagirathi Place, Fountain, Nai Sadak, Dangal Maidan, Railway Station Road, Church Mission Road, and Khari Baoli, highlighting the ongoing civic issues. Accompanied by senior officialsincluding DC City Vandana Rao, ACP Kotwali, and representatives from the Jal Board, PWD, Urban Shelter Board, BSES, Traffic Police, and Shahjahanabad Redevelopment Corporation, Khandelwal took stock of the deteriorating conditions. “Chandni Chowk’s condition is deeply concerning,” Khandelwal stated.
“We have roads littered with dirt, unresolved potholes, and unauthorised encroachments that need immediate action.”
He directed officials to document and address all issues promptly. “I will monitor progress through surprise visits. If problems persist or if work remains incomplete, I will ensure strict action is taken against those responsible,” Khandelwal warned.
