New Delhi: Muslims took out ‘tazia’ processions and offered special prayers as they observed Muharram — the martyrdom of Imam Hussain — here on Wednesday. Usually dressed in black, members from Shia community take out parade through streets beating their chests and chanting, while some enact the suffering of Hussain by flagellating themselves with chains, ropes, etc. Sunni observe fast and offer prayers. ‘Tazia’ is a miniature replica of the tomb of Imam Hussain.TNS

Doc saves man’s life at airport

New Delhi: A woman doctor recently revived and saved the life of an elderly man after he suffered a heart attack at the Delhi airport. In the video that went viral, the doctor can be seen pumping the chest of the ailing man amidst a crowd of onlookers. The visuals show the doctor resuscitating the man and saying inspiring words to him till he regained consciousness. Later, the man was given medical treatment by the airport authorities. The passenger was travelling to Bhubaneswar from Delhi on an IndiGo flight. The doctor works in Medanta Hospital, Airport unit.
