On the occasion of the party’s foundation day, BJP National President JP Nadda visited the residence of 98-year-old senior party worker and former Delhi Mayor, Shakuntala Arya, in Lajpat Nagar on Sunday. The visit was a tribute to her lifelong dedication to the party.

Accompanied by Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, Nadda hoisted the party flag at Arya’s home and honoured her with a party scarf and a shawl. He also sought her blessings, describing her as “an invaluable asset” to the party.

“Elderly workers like Shakuntala Arya are our greatest strength. Their dedication and sacrifices have laid the foundation for the BJP’s journey from struggle to power, both at the Centre and in Delhi,” said Nadda.
