Officials instructed firms to remove employees with criminal backgrounds and update records of all personnel.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Dr Arpit Jain directed that police verification of all delivery partners, riders and drivers be made mandatory. “No employee should be employed without verification. Companies should keep the records of their employees updated and make them available to the police so that quick action can be taken in any emergency,” he said.

Keeping women’s safety in mind, companies were also told to remain extra vigilant and inform the police immediately about any suspicious activity.
