The Delhi Police has issued a notice to Aam Aadmi Party MLA Mohinder Goyal in connection with a case involving fake Aadhaar card documents. Police sources revealed that staff members of Goyal, who represents the Rithala constituency, have also been asked to join the investigation. The case revolves around a group of ‘illegal Bangladeshi immigrants’ recently arrested with counterfeit documents, including Aadhaar cards and voter IDs.This development intensifies the ongoing feud between the ruling AAP and the BJP over the issue of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in Delhi.
BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi accused AAP of aiding anti-national activities, claiming that forms for fake documents bore the signatures and stamps of two AAP MLAs. He alleged this was part of a conspiracy to create fake Aadhaar cards for illegal immigrants to register them as voters.
