Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday commemorated the 125th Foundation Day of Hindu College with a ceremonial release of publications and a commemorative coin, honouring the institution’s significant contributions to India’s heritage and progress.
In a notable gathering attended by faculty, students and dignitaries, Vice-President Dhankhar underscored Hindu College’s pivotal role in shaping India’s history. He commended the institution’s legacy of fostering independence and nationalism among its alumni.
Dhankhar also awarded gold medals to the college’s meritorious students.
Addressing the audience, Dhankhar reflected on India’s rich civilisational ethos, urging the youth to embrace the spirit of Viksit Bharat. He emphasised the importance of accountability and transparency in governance, lauding the government’s efforts to combat corruption and uphold the rule of law.
Highlighting the transformative potential of technology, Dhankhar encouraged the youth to harness disruptive innovations for societal progress. He envisioned India’s leadership in leveraging advancements in artificial intelligence, quantum computing and digital technologies to redefine industries and enhance security.
Speaking candidly about the challenges ahead, Dhankhar urged the youth to persevere in the face of setbacks, viewing them as stepping stones to success rather than obstacles. He called upon them to remain vigilant against anti-national narratives and to actively engage in nation-building endeavours.
