Over 8 Lakh people screened for tuberculosis

Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh on Thursday reviewed the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. He was apprised by officials that 8.78 lakh individuals have been screened and 3.8 lakh chest X-rays conducted since the campaign began.

The officials highlighted that 95,001 people were screened under the slum initiative.

“We will continue to strengthen our screening and support systems, and community participation to ensure that every TB patient receives timely care, nutrition and encouragement,” the health minister said. Officials from the ministry said Delhi achieved 99% of its National TB Elimination Programme
