The Gurugram police have arrested a life convict, jumping a parole, from Tamil Nadu.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Subhash, a resident of Hathras in Uttar Pradesh. The accused faces a murder charge and was sentenced to life imprisonment. He was granted parole on January 24 and never returned as it lapsed. On the complaint of the jail superintendent concerned, an FIR was registered on April 5 at the Bhondsi Police Station.
While investigating, the Sector 40 Crime Unit team arrested the prisoner from Tamil Nadu on Saturday. “The accused was produced in a duty magistrate court on Sunday and sent to jail,” a police spokesperson said.
