The Delhi Police have arrested a 31-year-old private airline pilot for allegedly attempting to secretly film a woman using a hidden spy camera in South-West Delhi’s Kishangarh area.
The accused, identified as Mohit Priyadarshi, reportedly admitted that he had been making such videos for his own gratification.
The incident occurred on August 30 at Shani Bazar in Kishangarh village, where the complainant, a local resident, noticed an unknown man recording objectionable footage of her without consent using a device disguised as a lighter.
A case was registered at Kishangarh police station and investigation initiated. With the help of CCTV footage and circulation of the suspect’s photograph through the local intelligence network, he was traced and apprehended.
The police said Priyadarshi confessed during interrogation. The lighter-shaped spy camera used in the offence was recovered from his possession. The accused, unmarried and residing in Civil Lines, Agra, is employed as a pilot with a private airline.
