PM has no vision for Delhi: AAP MP

The AAP on Wednesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP of misleading the people with false promises and a lack of vision for Delhi’s development.

Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh expressed confidence in his party’s prospects, predicting a landslide victory in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

Addressing a press conference, Singh said: “PM Narendra Modi is frustrated and has no vision or plan for Delhi. The BJP cannot secure a future for children. They cannot build schools or hospitals.”

He criticised the BJP-led Central Government for failing to deliver on its promises. “The Prime Minister’s record is full of unfulfilled promises. He claimed every citizen would get Rs 15 lakh, but nothing came of it. He promised 2 crore jobs annually, but failed to deliver even a fraction of that. He assured permanent homes for all by August 15, 2022, yet millions still wait. He spoke of granting permanent registry rights to Delhi’s residents, but to no avail,” Singh said.

Singh ridiculed the BJP’s job schemes, particularly the Agniveer programme, under which youths are recruited for four years of service. “They offer four-year jobs under Agniveer, where a son retires while his father is still working. Their vision is so flawed that even basic promises remain unfulfilled,” he remarked.

The AAP leader alleged that the BJP is misleading the public with what he called “jumlas” (false promises). “Out of the 70 seats in Delhi, AAP will win all once again. People have seen through BJP’s lies and are firmly behind Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership. The BJP should now be renamed the ‘Biggest Lying Party,’” he concluded.
