Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golchha unveiled the new logo of the force’s dog squad, also known as K-9 unit, at the Police Headquarters here on Thursday.

The unit was established in 1967 and functions under the Crime Branch. Highly-trained dogs of the unit assist in detection of explosives and narcotic substances among others.
The squad currently operates from 10 key police stations across the capital, including Model Town, Chanakyapuri, Kalyanpuri, Daryaganj, Sabzi Mandi, Maurya Enclave, Sector 12 RK Puram, Sector 16-A Dwarka, Janakpuri and Pushp Vihar.
