A mega road infrastructure project linking Yamuna Expressway with Delhi-Agra National Highway was approved on Tuesday paving the way for the National Highways Authority of India to commence land acquisition.
Shyam Bahadur Singh, ex-officio CEO of the Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad said the Rs 1,645 crore project to link the Yamuna Expressway (Noida-Agra) and the Delhi-Agra National Highway in Mathura was cleared on Tuesday.
Singh, also Vice-Chairman of the Mathura-Vrindavan Development Authority, said the 15-km six-lane road would connect the Yamuna Expressway at its 101st km with the Delhi-Agra Highway near Jaint.
Under this same project, a bridge over the Yamuna is also proposed.
