The Faridabad police have arrested a quack who was operating a clinic in Faridabad’s Parvatiya Colony area without a valid medical degree. The accused had been treating people for quite some time by posing as a doctor. An FIR has been registered at the Saran Police Station.
According to the police, the Health Department had received a complaint that a person was running a clinic fraudulently in Street No 2 of Parvatiya Colony and was giving wrong medicines to the patients. Complaints had also surfaced that health of many patients had deteriorated due to those medicines.
Based on the complaint, Senior Medical Officer Manjeet Singh, along with the police team went to the imposter doctor’s clinic and took action. The investigating team raided the clinic and asked the accused to produce his medical degree. He was unable to produce any valid certificate or degree. The accused identified as Mobin Ahamad, during interrogation, admitted that he did not have any medical qualification, but he used to give medicines to 20 to 30 patients every day.
A senior police officer said that they were questioning the accused.
