The vehicle carried a Haryana registration number. Investigators are also probing the possibility that the car may have changed hands multiple times, sources privy to the details said.

The explosion occurred inside a slow-moving Hyundai i20 car at a traffic signal near Lal Quila Metro station around 7 p.m. on November 10.

So far, nine people have been confirmed dead, while scores sustained injuries in the blast, the nature of which is still being determined.
