Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) has announced the decision to make it mandatory for all applicants seeking admission for the 2025-26 academic session to pay Rs 2,500 as the registration fee. The university has clarified that applications submitted without the payment of the fee will be rejected.
Prof Udayan Ghose, director of admissions at the university, highlighted that many applicants filled out online forms but failed to complete the payment process, leading to incomplete applications.
To simplify the process, the university has combined the Rs 1,500 application fee and Rs 1,000 counselling participation fee into a single Rs 2,500 payment. “Earlier, applicants often forgot to pay one of the two fees, causing issues in the admission process. To avoid such complications, we have merged the fees,” Prof Ghose said.
The last date for online application submission for all programmes is March 31. Applicants can find more details and complete their registration on the university’s official websites: www.ipu.ac.in and www.ipu.admissions.nic.in.
