Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva has written a letter to Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, criticising Atishi for allegedly misusing her position to mislead the public and misappropriate government resources.

In the letter, Sachdeva condemned Atishi for holding a press conference in which she blamed the BJP for power cuts in the Capital. He described her claims as misleading and called for the Lieutenant Governor to ensure that Atishi refrains from issuing such statements while serving as the acting Chief Minister.

Sachdeva also raised concerns over the handling of the Delhi Chief Minister’s official social media accounts, claiming that under Atishi’s direction, the IT Department had allegedly converted the Chief Minister’s Twitter account, which was developed using government funds, into a personal account for former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He described this action as illegal and called for the restoration of the official social media account.

Sachdeva also requested that the Lieutenant Governor instructs officials to halt any improper actions initiated by Atishi and ensure proper use of government resources. He also urged the L-G to direct power distribution companies (DISCOMs) to clarify the situation regarding power cuts in the city, as Atishi’s claims about widespread outages were, according to Sachdeva, unfounded.
