Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva on Friday assured that “not a single penny of public money” would be wasted on glorifying the government, the CM or the ruling party the Capital.

Addressing a press conference, Sachdeva emphasised that the government’s advertisement policy would be “entirely transparent,” ensuring that “every advertisement is issued in the public interest.”

Drawing a sharp contrast with AAP’s previous tenure, he remarked, “Delhi residents remember the oath-taking ceremonies of Arvind Kejriwal’s government in 2015 and 2020, when public money was used to flood streets and newspapers with government advertisements. In contrast, the BJP government in Delhi did not spend a single penny from the public treasury to promote the oath-taking ceremony.”

He asserted that all expenses related to the “Developed Delhi” oath-taking ceremony were “funded entirely by the BJP itself.”
