In view of the PM’s visit, the Delhi Police have made elaborate security arrangements to ensure safe festivities.

Ramlila committees have been directed to create a secure cordon around the areas where effigies will be burnt, ensuring the public remains at a safe distance, an official said.

The police said if the crowd becomes excessive and poses a safety risk, entry gates to the celebration venue will be closed.

In addition to heavy deployment of Delhi Police personnel, paramilitary forces will also be stationed at key locations.

Additionally, the entire area will be under constant watch through drones. A network of CCTV cameras has been installed at the Ramlila sites, with the live feed being monitored from a central police control room. At the venue, the police have also stationed PCR vans for rapid response, the police said.

Due to huge crowd expected for the festival, vehicles will not be permitted to approach the celebration venues. The police have advised the public to park their vehicles at a designated distance and walk to the grounds to avoid congestion, the official mentioned.

“We are fully committed to creating a safe and peaceful atmosphere for all devotees and visitors. Our personnel are always on ground, vigilant and ready to respond,” the police stated.
