A 39-year-old Delhi resident, Rohit Shaukeen, was shot dead by bike-borne assailants outside Palm Hills Society on SPR Road in Gurugram’s Sector 77 late Monday night. Shaukeen, a property dealer from Kamruddin Nagar, was killed when two men, disguised as food delivery agents, fired multiple rounds at him before fleeing the scene. The police recovered over seven bullet shells at the spot.

Shaukeen’s brother suspects the murder is linked to an old property dispute. Shortly after the attack, a viral social media post surfaced, purportedly from a criminal named Sunil Sardhania, claiming responsibility for the killing and threatening Haryanvi singer Rahul Fazilpuria over an alleged unpaid debt. The police are investigating the authenticity of the post but have not officially confirmed its veracity.

According to police sources, Deepak Nandal has emerged as the primary suspect. Nandal’s name had previously arisen in the firing on singer Fazilpuria, for which Sardhania also claimed responsibility through another viral post. An FIR has been registered at Kherki Daula police station under relevant sections of the BNS and Arms Act. The police teams are conducting raids and reviewing CCTV footage to apprehend the assailants.
