Gurugram: Sub-Inspector Anil Rawat (30), posted at the Sadar police station in Gurugram, died due to cardiac arrest on Saturday night. A resident of Thanwas village, he was recruited in the Haryana Police in 2019. After finishing duty on Saturday night, Anil went to his room to sleep. But when he did not report on Sunday morning, police personnel reached his room and found him lying unconscious. They rushed him to hospital where doctors declared him dead. On January 31, Inspector Tarun Dahiya, posted in Nuh district, also died after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Gurugram. OC
Seven nabbed for dacoity
Gurugram: The Gurugram police have arrested seven accused in the case of dacoity at a warehouse of the Ireo Construction Company in the Sector 58 area. They were identified as Anuj (alias Kalu) of Kheri Gujran, Sagar (alias Bholi), Pawan of Nagla enclave, Akram Ansari of Ghaziabad, Haroon and Nazim, residents of Shergarh in Bareli, and Niazuddin (alias Niazu) of Mahalaxmi Garden, Gurugram. They had allegedly committed robbery by taking the guards hostage at the warehouse late night on Thursday. “The accused are being taken on remand and interrogated,” said ACP (Crime) Varun Dahiya. OC
1 caught while accepting bribe
Gurugram: A team of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Gurugram, caught a Group D employee, posted in the Public Health Department, red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 6,500. The accused employee has been identified as Naveen Kumar (32), resident of Farrukhnagar. He was allegedly demanding bribes on the pretext of getting contractor’s licence in the department.
